Someone once told me I was delusional. I almost fell off of my unicorn.

An Embarrassing Story

My mom and I where talking about what to write. She said to write about something funny or embarrassing. I thought about it and said, “I don’t want to write about something embarrassing”. She said that being able to laugh at yourself makes you an easier person to be around causing people to want to be around you more. So I agreed, reluctantly.
The following took place between 7:30 and 8:00, on a Thursday evening.

I was at band practice with my father, who plays the drums in the church band. A 3 year old girl named Sara wanted me to play with her. While her dad did the sound for the band I hung out with her. Then, she asked me to pretend to be a dog. I said okay and did what she wanted. She went upstairs to ask her dad something and I followed her. Her dad saw me crawling on the floor and slightly embarrassed, I stood up and said, “Kids like me to play dog with them”.
“Oh”, he said. “What is your name?” He asked.
I replied, “Well, usually they just call me puppy”.
“No, what is your real name?” he asked again
Smack! “Uh, Kaitlyn”, I said as I turned bright red. It was the most embarrassing thing I had ever done.
I look back and it’s funny. Our family is now really good friends with his family. I still play with their daughter but I will never pretend that I am a dog again.
Ever.

Crazy!!

I have not written a Blog for a long time. I will tell you what is going on.
Yesterday was a busy day. My cousin, Morgan, and I had stayed the night at my grandmother’s house the night before. We sewed and went swimming in their indoor pool. We came back yesterday and all of my cousins were at my house!! They stayed and had dinner. We had to do our 4-H project and we had to help our brothers. 4-H is a group of people who do activities and train animals for the fair which comes once a year. It is fun. Well Moses is getting big. He is still smaller then his brother and sister who live in town but not as much as before. Bye.

Oh, How I Miss Them.

In South Carolina, we went to a church with the most loving people I have ever met in my entire life. Our church was called Coastal Community Church. I think of them every day. You can not imagine how hurt I was when we had to leave. I wish I could here from my best friends, Christopher and Lydia, more often. They are the ones I miss the most. Christopher and I became the best of friends when we where about 7 years old. We would have a argument every once and a while but we couldn’t stay mad at each other for very long. We would play together all the time. I miss him the most. Lydia, his sister, was my friend also. She is a few years older than I am, but I still miss her. I had some other friends there, and I miss them too. I miss Coastal altogether. My Aunt Carrie goes to our church too. She has 2 children, Sara, and Grace. Sara is about to turn 4, while Grace is 1 1/2. I have never seen Grace with my own eyes. Just is pictures. I miss them all. Oh, how I miss them!!

My Uncle and soon to be Aunt.

How is your room cleaning coming? Did my advice work? If you have not read my post about keeping a room clean click here. I will tell you all you need to know about how to keep your room clean in easy steps.
I have an uncle who lives so far away I only get to see him once or twice a year. He lives in Australia. He is about to move to Virginia so maybe that will make him come over here more often. I miss him very much and I wish that he would at least call if he can’t come to see me. He is very funny and has a friend named Nina who I think are soon to be engaged. All he has to do is find it in himself to ask her. He always brings MNMs which are one of my favorite candies. Once he sent a package that said “Happy Tuesday” but it arrived on Thursday. His name James Matthew but we call him Uncle Matt. I hope he will marry Nina. I love Nina. She is funny and loves bugs, (she gets along with my brothers perfectly). Has a great personality and is very sweet. She would be the perfect aunt. I hope my uncle feels the same way. I hope that he will visit soon.

Puppy Adventures! Chapter 3

Today Moses, my 6 month old Jack Russell puppy, had a bath. He was shaking with fear. Not because he was cold, because he was scared. He was filthy and it had to be done. He is pretty obedient after he is in the water. He goes crazy after he gets out of the water and shakes and acts like he in full of energy. He looks really fat and poofy when he is done. Do you think?

9-11 – I will always remember..

I was in first grade at the time. My dad is in the Navy and we lived on a base. The fire alarm went off and kids only thought it was a fire alarm drill; that is until they realized that it was lasting longer then a fire alarm drill. The teachers lined us up behind the school. We all freaked out and they wouldn’t let the parents come and take their children home. I was just happy to get to go home before school was over. When we were in the car I asked what was going on. My mom tried to explain but I was still confused. Then I saw it on the TV. Planes were crashing into these huge buildings. It was horrible.
We were out of school for a few days. After that day I forgot my worries. I didn’t know why my mom still was sad. After all, we were a ways away from New York.
Now I know why she was so sad. Some time later, as a result of the terrorist, we tried to get back on base to go home after an outing, these military men told my mom to get out of the car. I got scared when they started to search the car. They were armed with huge guns. When we moved, 4 years later, we went through New York and I saw what the attack had caused. When we passed the location my mom told the story of the attackers. They knew that they would die during the crash and they did it anyway. I will always remember that day when thousands of lives were taken away. Can you imagine how people felt when they found out that their loved ones were killed in a terrorist attack? I can’t imagine how scared people who lived around the building were. I hope that God is with them and that this does not happen again

My Family

I am a first born and the only girl. My parents got married in 1997 when I was 2. My mom had another baby, named Joe, a year after they were married (1998). 2 1/2 years later they had another baby named Gabe (2000). 2 1/2 years later they had another baby name Matthew (2003). When Matthew was almost a year old, we found out that we are going to have another baby named Ben (2005). Matthew was only 2 when we had Ben, while every body else was born 3 years apart. And now my mom is having ANOTHER baby. We found out on last Sunday. We think it will be born on May 5th. I hope it is a girl, I’m tired of having all those boys around, lol. My brothers, Joe and Gabe, are very close. They will play together for hours and hours a day. Matthew and Ben do the same thing. But Matthew has started to want to play with “the guys”, as he calls them, more often. Mabe this new baby will fill in for Matthew as Ben’s playing companion. That would work out perfectly!!
