Those who know me best know I am a very eccentric person. I like bright colors and doing fun stuff with my hair like putting them in pigtails. I have always loved the idea of putting flowers and cute “done-up” bobby pins in one’s hair, but being a frugal person, I have never ever ever felt like spending the $7 per accessory to get some. So I just forgot about it.  But recently, I’ve been seeing some fun hair ideas that involve these flowers and other cute hair pins. I still was unwilling to spend the ridiculous amount of money to get some, though. So, this craft idea that came from who knows where inspired me to try something. Yesterday, Mom had to go to the fabric store. While there I picked up some cute buttons.

Being that the Dollar Tree is right next to Joanns, I ran nextdoor and picked up some flowers, bobby pins, and barrettes.

I didn’t get a picture of the barrettes. Oh well. Anyway.

I pulled out the hot glue gun, and after a little bit of creativity juice was spent, I got this:

I was super happy with how they turned out! I made a few different kinds, using both bobby pins and barrettes when making the full flower ones. The buttons worked great with the bobby pins.

I also got some white flowers.

I was pretty proud of how creative I was, considering…I seriously have no creativity skillz at all, on a regular basis.
