One of my favorite home shows is House Hunters International. I love how each episode spotlights a different family in a different foreign city. The show provides a way for me to travel the world and see how people in other countries live. I also like how there is no regular host. In recent episodes, the spotlighted family and their local real estate agent speak out loud with the camera. Last week I saw an episode where a couple was shopping for a condo apartment in Paris, France. It is fascinating to see how much homes cost in other countries. The home prices were expressed in Euros but for American viewers they add screen text converting the price into American dollars. This makes it easier for me to judge the value of each home according to location and amenities. In each episode, the family visits three homes and then makes an offer on one of them. It’s fun to sit on my couch and watch the show on satellite tv that I got after reading over this DIRECTV HD Deals comparison and try to guess which home the family will choose. I also enjoy the end of each episode when we get to visit the family after they have moved into their new home. It’s interesting to see how the family chooses to decorate the rooms and if they still believe they made the correct choice.
