The Floors

1. Lets start with under the bed. I have drawers under under mine, so that’s not really a job for me. Clear it out and follow step 2 on section 1, again.
2. I don’t know if you took care of the closet floor, but if you haven’t, lets do that now. Again, clear it out and follow step 2 in section 1.
3. Now just look around and any other sections of the floor that need to be picked up, do.
4. Vacuum

There you go!

1. Let’s start by getting the clothes that have fallen off thei hangers and put them back on the hanger rack.
2. I don’t know if you do, but I have a LOT of stuff in my closet. Lets get that into a pile, then follow step 2 in section 1, the surfaces.
3. I wouldn’t know what kind of a closet you have, but if you should have already had the shelves clean from section 1. If there is anything else that needs to be done, then go and do it, you could do the floor of the closet when we do the floor section.

1. Lets start with the sheets, comforters, and other bedding. Put them into the washer.
2. Next, lets clean out your dresser drawers. If your dresser drawers are still clean from the last cleaning, then you can skip those. I usually need to clean out mine about once every 2 months. To clean these out you should probably do one drawer at a time. Start with the top and go down.
3. Get rid of the clothes that don’t fit or that you don’t wear often.
4. As soon as your bedding is done, put it on your bed. Don’t just throw hem on, make your bed very nicely.
5. I think that’s it! We will do underneath the bed when we do the floor.

1. Today we’re starting with the dresser. Take everything off of it and put it in a pile on the floor. Do the same thing with the side table, desk, or any other shelves and surfaces in your room, putting them in the same pile as the dresser belongings.
2. Next, sort through the pile. Put trash in one pile, collectibles in another, and the garage sale or givaway in another. If you need to, add another pile, but those are the main ones that I use. Remember, this is a de-junking method. ( What exactly is junk?)
3. Immediatly get the garage sale items out of your sight, or you might start to change your mind.
4. You may want a small tubaware for this part. Take your keepers and neatly put them in your tubaware, drawer, or wherever AWAY is.
5. Now you put your trash in the trash can and put your garage sale items in a box or something where you will notice them. If you have a hard time getting rid of things and you think you might get into the box and get the stuuf out, then you may want to write on the box ” DO NOT GET IN TO! EVEN YOU,( your name here)

This “Daily Section Cleaning” for you room is a de-junking and room organizing method. Do not expect to be able to keep every little thing if you follow my methods. Learning to de-junk will also help you to not spend your money on trinkets that you will use for a couple of days, and then just throw it under the bed or in the closet. I learned that about a year or two ago and now I have a Ipod, a dog, and lots more because I save my money and little trinkets don’t even tempt me anymore, well not ALL the time:) But my junk has definitely decreased. I hope my methods help you keep your room clean and help you to be a junk-less person.

Here are some reasons why you should keep your room clean.

• You don’t have to worry about your parents getting mad because your room is messy.
• When you have guests over you don’t have to be in a rush cleaning your room a hour or two before they show up.
• You have more room to play if your room isn’t all cluttered. If your room is always clean you don’t have to worry about any of the things I listed.

There are easy ways of keeping your room clean. Here are some.

• Pick up after yourself.
• Try cleaning your room in sections. Each day of the week do a different section.
• Make your bed every morning immediately when you wake up and pick up your room.

Try this and your room will be clean in a week!

I’ve decided I’m going to do a “How to clean your room in a week” post. Every day of the week I will be doing a different section of your room. I hope it helps those who have a lot of stuff, just not enough room. So tune in every day this week for section of the day. I learned that it is easiest to clean it in sections.
