I like weird names.

And not weird names like Xavier or Frances or Archibald.

Weird names like Storm, Baelfire, Benedict, Zeus, Canyon, Kayin, Frederick, Zane…the list goes on. And that’s just boys. For girls I like Jezebel, Saphira, and Delilah. No kidding, there are very few other Biblical girl names that I like. Why do the bad girl names have to be so awesome? I mean, Jezzie and Lilah would be SUCH adorable nicknames. Sadly none of the names mentioned are socially acceptable for dubbing your kids with. Except in England I could name my kid Benedict and probably be okay. Because England is AWESOME.

Anyway.

My parents make fun of me all the time, saying stuff like “Someday we’re going to get Dirt a bunch of loud toys.” And I’ll be like “Dirt what the heck?” And they’re like “Yeah isn’t that one of the names you had for your kids? Dirt or Asphalt or something?” And then I just roll my eyes. I used to argue it but now it’s just like “whatevs”.

My parent’s don’t understand me.  WOW never heard that one from a teenager before HAVE YOU?

No they’re right. The names I like are really weird.

Like Xena. Xena is such a cool name.

And Athena. GOSH why do all the Greek gods have to have such cool names? Poseidon, Apollo, Zeus? COOL.

I know I’m sorry. I should probably stick to names like Michael and Sara and Matthew. You know, normal names. But I can’t help it — being abnormal myself, I just like abnormal names. My poor future children.

And just so I don’t get yelled at for not writing enough about X, here’s a Xylophone for good measure.

I was playing four square today with three of the boys around the neighborhood, Connor, Donald, and Chris. My brudders were inside eating dinner. Out of nowhere this kid who I’ve never seen before comes up, about 13 or 14 is my guess, and asks to play with us. Donald obviously knew him and was like “Sure.”. I was in the King’s spot so the kid, who’s name I later learned was Roman, picked it up and handed it to me with a “Here ma’am”.

I was thinking “Well that was nice.”

We continued and later Donald threw it to me hard so I said “Ow” and Roman was like “Are you okay?” And I was like “Yeaaaah…”

And then later he did something, I don’t remember what, and Donald was like “Yeah Kaity, he’s a lady’s man.” And I was like “Uhh…” and Roman was like “WELL I have a girlfriend.”

And I was all like “Good for you man.” But in my head I was like “What the heck…”

And that’s just how my evening went.

So…yeah we’ve kinda become four-square addicts.  It happened about two days ago. And now it’s all we do. Come 2:30, the neighborhoodians one-by-one make their way to our house and join the group of children in our driveway. See, the driveways have these perfect squares in them so it’s perfect.

It’s pretty awesome.

Here’s a video I had Skylar take yesterday of us playing. Usually we have more kids than that but it was around dinner time so a lot of them had left.

Oh well.

I was bored last night.

Trolls are awesome. When you don’t know them.

I know a few. And I guess they’re okay. They kinda get annoying after a while. Cause they send you texts that say stuff like “We’ll be there in five minutes.” when they are on the other side of the state. Not that I believed this troll, of course. But still. That’s just not very nice.

Okay, they aren’t that annoying. They’re actually quite humorous.

Sorry trolling friends. Troll on. Troll. On.

Because then you get stuff like this:

Yeah this is me laying under a car.

- I have to have the toilet paper on the roller a certain way. If it isn’t on correctly, I will take it off the roller and turn it around right.

- When I’m saying a word, I see it in my head. I didn’t realize this until I started pronouncing words I had only heard(on TV or something) how they were spelled, NOT how I had heard them. Like Sybil on Downton Abbey. I would pronounce her name differently than I was hearing it because I was, unconsciously, reading it in my mind how I imagined it to be spelled and therefore before my brain could connect that I’d heard it differently, I said it how I thought it was spelled. I do this all the time. It’s really weird.

- Books that I read a long ways back I often think are movies because of how well my imagination created the world I was reading about. For instance, I’ve thought I watched a Boxcar Children movie because I read them when I was younger and I still remember specific SCENES as if I had watched a movie. Even now, when reading a book I’m really into I will, when thinking about going to continue the story, think “Press play” as if I am going to continue a movie before realizing it was a book.

- I cannot sleep with blankets on my feet unless it is REALLY cold. And sticking limbs off the side of the bed? Ne

- I like the smell of books and money and it causes people to give me weird stares a lot.

- According to my dad, one of my quirks is that I’m a dork. Fairly certain that’s not technically a quirk but whatever.

So…I guess that’s it. For now.

Yes I do have a right arm. It was just originally supposed to be on her shoulder but in this shot I stretched it out for some reason. Probably cramps.

This is me with my Best Internet Friend/Twin, Picco, who’s pretty much the most awesome internet friend ever.  Because she’s hilarious. And we love all the same stuff. And someday we will meet in person and it will be awesome.

But until then, we just continue to stalk each other’s blogs and follow one another on Pinterest. Because Pinterest is awesome. And while on Pinterest looking through some of Picco’s boards, I found a picture of some cupcakes which instantly morphed me into baking mode and I immediately donned my make-believe apron(because I STILL don’t have a real one, though I’ve been wanting one for FOREVER) and started baking. That is why this post is dedicated to Piccola. Because her pin inspired.

The peanut butter buttercream frosting stuff didn’t end up turning out quite right so I’m going to add some of my own ideas of ingredients to it later on. I’ll let you know how that turns out.
